About Nextgen Mechanical

With 13 years’ HVAC experience, Joel Lukacik founded Nextgen Mechanical to deliver reliable, expert care for residential and commercial heating and cooling customers, as well as commercial walk-in coolers and freezers for restaurants.

Whatever the space, he takes the time to consider its “comfort factor.” If it seems too humid or arid, he can address that by installing a dehumidifier or humidifier. Trouble shooting and finding solutions are talents of Joel’s. He also investigates a unit’s ductwork to make sure it’s operating at peak efficiency. With preventive check-ups, he can help clients get the most life from their HVAC dollar. As a solo owner-operator, Joel has well earned a reputation for meticulous attention to detail and treating his customers like family.

Residential

From single-family homes to mobile homes and apartment units, Joel Lukacik is licensed and insured to handle any repair or replacement of HVAC. He’s comfortable in servicing all brands, and for replacement, usually recommends American Standard products for their best-in-class durability and reliability.

Commercial

Joel understands that without high-performace HVAC units and walk-in coolers and freezers, businesses would be out of business. He can handle any size heating or cooling units, from freestanding to rooftop. Many local restaurants, malls and car dealerships keep coming back to Nextgen for comprehensive commercial service.

Nextgen Mechanical Offers

With the advances in heating technology, whatever you invest in will be more energy-efficient and save you on your future heating bills.

Maintenance and Repair

Prevention is key when it comes to getting the most bang for your HVAC dollar. A malfunctioning furnace or A/C unit could negatively impact air quality. Joel presents homeowners and businesses with options for repairing or replacing parts. He can also address the “comfort factor” of the air in a space, by installing dehumidifiers or humidifiers and reworking duct work if needed to mesh with the system.

Refrigeration and Cooler Repair

Restaurants, grocery stores, caterers, schools and any business that keeps food at a safe temperature, understand the importance of keeping their refrigeration systems running at peak efficiency. Since Joel offers 24/7 emergency repairs, when units break down, they trust he can address the situation before expensive food loss occurs. Problems are easier to fix if caught early. If clients notice issues like foul smells, unfamiliar noises, ice buildup or temperature issues, they should reach out to Joel for a maintenance visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can debris on outdoor coils keep my system from operating properly?

Yes, when the condenser coils are dirty or clogged, they can’t effectively release the heat absorbed from your home. This reduces the overall cooling capacity of your AC unit. It’s also hard on the components in the system such as compressor and start components.

  • What type of filter should I use?

Air filters come in various materials, such as fiberglass, pleated fabric, and high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters. Fiberglass filters are inexpensive and good for basic filtration, while pleated fabric filters offer better filtration and are more durable.

  • Should I cover my outdoor condenser?

Yes, we recommend covering the top of the unit with a mesh cover to keep debris out. Wouldn’t recommend hard covers due to the possibility of moisture buildup in the unit. Unless you have a heat pump, you don’t cover.

  • How long does a typical HVAC system last?

In our climate zone, with hot summers and frigid winters, the average system is estimated to last 10-15 years.

  • How often should I have my system checked?

Twice a year, once for cooling and once for heating. We check over all components that operate the system. In winter, we check the combustion of the system and the heat exchanger for any cracks. In summer, we check the charge level and all start components and make sure all motors are amping within factor specs.
